Terms and Conditions

Daycare, Boarding, and Walking:

1.    All clients will be deemed to have accepted Pumpkin’s Pet’s terms and conditions as laid out here, upon signature of the Daycare/Boarding or walking agreements. 

2.    All clients understand, and consent to, their dogs sharing indoor and outdoor areas, and going for walks with dogs from other households.

3.    Pumpkin’s Pets holds insurance with Petplan Sanctuary, which covers public liability, loss or theft of keys, and care, custody and control of animals.

4.    It is highly recommended that animals enrolled onto our services are insured against sickness, accident and injury; and third-party liability.  All owners are responsible for any injuries/incidents/damages that have occurred to other dogs, people, possessions, or property as a result of their dog, and for replacing damaged property as necessary.

5.    Pumpkin’s Pets reserves the right to remove dogs from any of our services.  We will endeavour to provide 1 month’s notice, however in emergency situations this may be with immediate effect, if your dog poses a risk to ourselves, or other clients.  We require clients to give a minimum of 1 month’s notice before terminating services, this includes reducing regular weekly slots.

6.    All payments are to be made upfront, by monthly invoice, or alternatively on Monday of every week, by bank transfer, if otherwise agreed. 

7.    Cancellations: Pumpkin’s Pets has a no cancellations policy, meaning that any cancellations of regular weekly spots must be paid for.  In the event that Pumpkin’s Pet’s cancels daycare (annual leave, public holiday, days notified in advance), Refunds will be issued.  Bank holidays are charged at 1.5x usual rate, however if cancelled with 2 weeks notice will not be charged. 

8.    For boarding stays longer than 2 days, Pumpkin’s Pets requires a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.  The remaining sum is to be paid before drop off.

9.    The client agrees to notify Pumpkin’s Pets of any signs of illness/disease in their dog, and agrees to not bring any dogs presenting symptoms of contagious illnesses.

10. The client agrees to provide any food/medication, that their dog may require during the day, or stay (for boarding).

11. The client agrees to supply a suitable collar/harness/lead, and muzzles where necessary.  All dogs must wear an ID tag with their owner’s phone number and postcode.

12. Pumpkin’s Pets agrees to keep all dogs on leash when outside of the house, unless given consent for off leash exercise.  Pumpkin’s Pets holds a Royal Park commercial dog walking license, allowing for walks to occur in Greenwich Park.  Any other locations will be agreed with Clients.

13. Pumpkin’s Pets agrees to keep Clients’ keys unmarked, in a locked Key Safe.  Keys to be returned to owners upon termination of services.

14. Any rescheduling/time alterations to booked appointments less than 48 hours prior to service start time incur a £5 charge.  Clients may only reschedule to a date/time within the same week as the original appointment, and only if Pumpkin’s Pets has availability.

15. Upon signing the agreement forms, the client agrees to pay the required late charge of £10 per quarter hour after 6pm, when collecting their dog after 6pm, and an out of hours charge of £25 for drop offs before 8am.

16.  In the event of an emergency, Pumpkin’s Pets will attempt to contact first the owner and then a listed emergency contact. If neither can be reached, the dog will be transported to Medivet Greenwich, or the nearest out of hours Veterinary Clinic for immediate treatment.  The Client is liable for all Veterinary fees.

17. In weathers above 24'C, Pumpkin's Pets will require all Daycare Clients to be dropped off by 9:00am so dogs can be walked earlier. Walking Clients will have their walks replaced with enrichment sessions and home visits. We will endeavour to notify owners in advance of this change, however our normal cancellation policy will apply if owners wish to cancel any home visits.  It is the owner's responsibility if they aren't happy with house visits to check the forecast in advance to ensure they are cancelling within the required time frame.
