FAQs
Is Pumpkin's Pets licensed and insured?
Yes, as per government guidelines, anyone offering daycare and/or boarding services must obtain a license from their local council. We hold a license with Greenwich Council. We are fully insured with Petplan Sanctuary.

Greenwich Council License number: LN13763

My pet has a special diet. Can their needs be accommodated?
Yes, we ask that all owners provide their dog's food. For dogs in our daycare programme, most owners will bring a labelled packed lunch each day. However, we do also offer the option for you to get their regular food delivered to our house if you find that option easier!

Dogs staying for boarding will also require their food to be provided, or enough 'spending money' for me to buy their food.

We accept all diets - including raw, and all dogs will be supervised when fed.
What do you supply for overnight boarding?
We provide basic bedding, a selection of toys, and food and water bowls. However if your dog is crate trained, you will need to provide their crate. You may also provide any bedding or toys of your own - records will be kept of each dogs possessions!
How can I check on my pet during their stay?
There will be updates in your desired frequency in the form of messages and photographs. We will aim to keep owners of boarders updated once a day (usually morning or evening), but are able to provide additional updates should you require.
How many dogs will my dog be around on a typical day?
We take up to 7 dogs at any one time, determined by our license conditions. This doesn't mean we necessarily have 7 dogs a day, 5 days a week!

On walks we ensure there is a maximum of 4 dogs per walker, as per local laws, and we have a fantastic team of insured and competent assistants who join us as needed.
Where do the dogs get walked?
We are based near the beautiful, and incredibly dog friendly Greenwich park, which is where walks will often take place. During the summer, we like to take the dogs to the beach along the Thames, where we make use of a fenced and enclosed area, where the dogs can all safely go off lead (even those without recall!), and can have a paddle! Dogs also enjoy neighbourhood strolls, where they get used to walking nicely in a group!
Are there any dogs you won't accept for Daycare or Boarding?
We do have a number of criteria that will determine whether or not we can accept your dog. The following are rough guidelines, and we may make the odd exception - so do contact us even if you think you may not be suitable - all dogs are offered a first meetup, and then a trial day, both of which will determine if we can accept your pup.
